Media Resources & Policies

Media Registration

The ISSCR offers complimentary registration for journalists who are covering advances in stem cell science and regenerative medicine and related topics pertinent to the ISSCR and the field. Please use our form to apply for media credentials. You will receive a response within 5 business days.

If you are soliciting manuscripts for a scientific journal or are an advertiser/publisher, you do not meet criteria for complimentary media credentials, which are limited to journalists.

ISSCR 2024 Scientific Content and Media Embargo Policy

General Media Policy for Journalists

The ISSCR invites journalists to cover science presented at its meetings and events in adherence with the society's embargo policy. Still photography, video and/or audio taping of the sessions, presentations and posters at ISSCR meetings and events is strictly prohibited. Intent to communicate or disseminate results or discussion presented at ISSCR meetings and events is prohibited until the start of each individual presentation.

For Poster Presentations at the ISSCR Annual Meeting

Presentation titles, day and time, venue, and a public-facing description of the poster presentation may be promoted publicly/externally leading up to the ISSCR Annual Meeting. The public-facing description is a sentence or two that generally describes or teases the subject matter in the abstract, but is not the abstract content. Abstract content comes off of embargo at the start of the ISSCR Annual Meeting on 10 July 2024.

For Invited and Abstract-selected Speaker Presentations

Presentation titles, day and time, venue, and a public-facing description of the content may be promoted publicly/externally leading up to the presentation at the ISSCR Annual Meeting. The presentation abstract, new data and results, or specifics of the talk may not be promoted externally until the time the presentation is scheduled to begin. For example, if the scientific talk of an invited speakers is in Plenary II, but is the third talk, the embargo lifts at the start of the speaker’s presentation, not at the beginning of the Plenary session.

For Registered Attendee Use Only

The Program Book will be available to registrants one week prior to the start of the annual meeting, approximately 3 July 2024. The Abstract Book will be available to registered attendees the morning of 10 July 2024. The scientific content embargo remains in place even as books are available to registered attendees. Both books will be available publicly approximately one month after the ISSCR Annual Meeting concludes.
